One would think that with the population of Earth currently sitting at nearly 8 billion, and that's just the people alive today not counting all the people who have lived before, that someone would have said something to clear this up by now.  Seems like a glaring oversight.

No different to movies just having characters move to another country without a visa and just start working, buy a house in the countryside, fall in love!

Genuinely if they had told me to STOP pushing, I don't think I could have.  "It wasn't me".  :D

It really is!  Also, I failed to clarify that it was a moth in the end.

no outside food or drinks
(And a total expensive rip off!)
This is my biggest fear becuase we are not supposed to bring outside food or drinks.  I understand not bringing alcohol and banning camp stoves, but not bringing able to bring some fruit and muffins for breakfast is a bit of a PITA.  I bet tea is going to be £4

At one point, my MIL took a step toward me and my chair was behind me so I couldn't step back and I made a rather frantic "Ahhhh!" sound and did a pushing gesture with my hands, and then felt weird for my reaction and apologized, but she said she wasn't offended, and she gave me space.
I'm going to pronounce this no big deal for her , just hard to process under the new rules.  Kind of reminds me of when a relative who is transgender male came to visit and I kept using the wrong pronouns even though I was actually trying hard not to. I don't think it was a big deal betweeen friends.

How about the parasite that gets into mice and tells them not to be afraid of cats?  This is some kind of genetic or chemical thing that actually changes the innate behaviour of another species without any words.  Bizarre.

Does it only diminish their fear of cats, specifically, or does it diminish their fear response to all threats, generally?  Because if it's the latter, that can just be a change in either the release or uptake of neurotransmitters to do with fear response in the brain. But if it's the former, that is something more complex to ponder...

This week has been MENTAL!!!

1.  On Saturday, my OH suggested getting another dog.  I didn't need to be asked twice!

2.  Our new greyhound arrives tomorrow!!!  Her name is Becky; a wee sister for Jimmy  [smiley=smitten.gif]

3.  On Monday I decided I wanted a bigger car if I'm going to be hauling greyhounds around.  Picked up 2017 Megane estate today!  I had only viewed it online, so was a bit surprised when I actually saw it in the flesh today and realised that the boot isn't actually bigger than my Duster, but hey-ho... it's pretty and the monthly payment works out cheaper, so the dogs are just going to have to live with it!

4.  Found out yesterday I am going on a 2 month training course for work, which is great because we've been warned about redundancies, and if they're sending me on this course, that kind of sounds like I'm not going to be made redundant.  That's my take on it, anyway.

5.  Trying to fit in work and overtime, in amongst dog stuff and car stuff and OH birthday stuff... I feel totally frazzled.  Hopefully by Sunday I can start catching up on a bunch of other stuff I *really* need to be doing!

Good question.  I don't know.  I've also heard that there's a disease that cat people catch from their cats that makes them  do risky things (the owners, not the cats).  Cat people have more car accidents or something like that.

Maybe it's the same thing that mice get... not fearing cats is pretty risky behaviour.

It's been quite some time since we've had a George photo.

I mean, I'm excited for Albatross, but true to UKY, this thread needs to be full of CAT PHOTOS!!!!!

You have a guard cat!  ;D

I have one that growls when she sees the postman but that's because she's scared, not because she's fierce!  [smiley=smitten.gif]
