Thanks, KF.  I think I'm fine.  The nurse has explained everything they're doing, and she gave me the first (only) appointment of the day.  It'll just be me, her, and a colleague there, and they both do daily testing.

When does Hendricks join your family?  We're really impatient right along with you!  (Although, I did have a chuckle at the name.  A few years ago, I mentioned our handtruck to my husband and he mis-heard me and wondered who this "Hendricks" person was I said could help him move something.  Our handtruck has been called Hendricks ever since.)

Mid November!  He will be 13 weeks on November 13, so likely then.  ;D

Looking forward to Hendricks joining us but I know he will not be cuddly for a few years yet.  Unless he's a super duper lazy kitten!   ;D  A search for a friend for Hendricks continues.  We are a bit fearful that we will end up with ALL the cats.  Husband seems to be pushing the number up from 2!  I can blame him right?   ;D

Awww, I hope you get a cuddler. One of ours was right from day one. There is nothing better than a tiny kitten fast asleep on your chest!  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Happy Friday!

1.  I've been training for a new role in my work since late June, and I was signed off yesterday as 'fully competent', so no longer in training, and no longer having my work checked over.  I AM TERRIFIED now!  No safety net!  [smiley=dunce.gif]

2.  OH is coming home tonight after a couple of days away...and I am dreading it.  I love him, but his mental health issues make him difficult to live with at times, and I saw a few worrying posts on FB while he's been away...

3. Next Friday, I've got a pitch at a pre-loved women's clothing sale.  Hopefully I will be able to make a few quid, selling stuff I don't wear anymore (now that I don't go to the office anymore, and don't really go out socially anymore apart from dog walking!).

4.  Just made myself a big juicy cheeseburger for breakfast!  And I didn't share it with the hounds!

5.  Oh, speaking of the hounds... that Becky!  What an absolute delight she is!   [smiley=smitten.gif] Now that she is settled and has recovered from the trauma of escaping and being injured, and her fear of the stairs... she is the loveliest, sweetest dog... loves cuddles and has a wee bit of a playful side.  And she loves to run!  She's absolutely mad for it!  I take them to the run field and she just cuts loose... Jimmy never used to run before we got Becky... he would stand and eat grass and sniff things at the run field, but now he runs and tries to keep up and play with Becky, so she's made a happy impact on his life too.  So glad we got her!!  :-*

Happy Friday, people!

Albatross, love your update on Becky, and her impact on Jimmy!  But your OH... is there anything you can do if he isn't in balance?  Is he receptive to intervention?  Is he aware he gets out of sorts?

1.  Birthday Week commences today at 4:30.  Yay!  I level up in two days.

2.  My husband has been in a secondment that allows him to work from home.  It was expected to end early next month, but he was notified on Wednesday that they would like him to remain in the role at least until December.  So two more months of living together!

3.  This week's groceries are at the high end of my budget, and I don't care... Birthday Week!

4.  I bought a pair of hand drums for John Lewis's birthday present... they look like tambourines, but without the jangly bits in the frame.  And they come with little mallets.  I wanted to get him a proper set of bongos, but we don't really have a place to put them when not in use.  Plus, they cost quite a bit more than the little hand drums (see #3).

5.  After Birthday Month, I'm going to have to take a good look at my spending.  Jimbo's thread has made me aware of the fact that my budget is tighter than I'm used to lately... I'm still prioritizing my savings followed by food, but there doesn't seem to be as much left over for fun stuff after those two things.  Is inflation hitting my particular choices?  Have I got more indulgent?  What gives?

Happy Friday!

1.) Man, everything has been crazy at work. Again. [smiley=computer.gif]

2.)  I released one of my recordings last week on Soundcloud and that was great fun. Cover song, but really nice feedback!  [smiley=guitarist.gif]

3.) Watching the Brexit chaos abound.  Hmmm. ::)

4.) Tired. [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

5.) Blackberry picking this weekend.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Albatross, LOVE that Becky has completed your family!  Well, for the time being at least.   ;)  More hounds is never a bad thing.

Happy Birthday JF!

PB, work just never ends, does it?

Friyay!

Bit perkier this week than I was last week.  A bit less stress in life is a good thing!

1.  Off to look at another litter of kittens on Sunday.  My husband is the most excited.

2.  Plan to take in afternoon tea on a steam train while out for the day.

3.  Been trying to clean my eating/drinking back up since indulging on the summer holidays, but it is HARD to cut off.  Plus I got too many yummy gins for my birthday!  But needs must.

4.  My car has been running on fumes all week due to laziness and not wanting to stop for fuel.  Now I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to get any, so.....    ::)  Brexit for the win!

5.  Considering moving the kitchen from where it is currently "placed" in the extension and we think it'll be the change we needed.  Maybe I'll even get excited by this project at some point.  Long way to go until that point though...

Wait, wait, KF...

Are #1 and #2 both on the same day?  You're going to see kittens and have afternoon tea on a steam train in the same outing?!  Truth time:  That outing is why you're in a good mood, right?  Because I would be silly giddy at that lineup.

Yeah, kittens are in the Forest of Dean.  And there is a steam train there.  So... break up the drive with a train (supposed to rain so looked for a weather proof activity).  I'd ask if you want to meet halfway.... but... we have cooties.

My son (who started Reception earlier this month) has the *bleep*ing class bear this weekend.  Which every parent (well, except, there's usually one) loathes.

At least it's the first weekend out for the bear so he doesn't have to go on his cursory "ride in the washing machine".   ::)

And I guess we will be very "Keep Up with" for the other parents with kittens and trains on the agenda.   [smiley=behead.gif]

That's exactly what I was thinking, you win with kittens and trains!  Maybe you could get JFkimberley to take him to a Mensa meeting!
