Friday Five!

1.  Another boring day at work... but glad I am still here! 
2.  Picking up my stepson after work and can't wait to see him!   
3.  Staring at the photos of food on the wall across from me makes me hungry
4.  Can't wait to do some more shopping for our new place this weekend - we are moving very soon!
5.  It's a gray, moody day outside, but I enjoy that for some reason.  It makes me feel introspective...

1. Trying to cut down on the alcohol - usually have a drink (or two depending on the day) after DD goes to bed. I haven't had one all week and I can see the difference in the mirror.
2. Having a couple of drinks tonight, though!
3. Three day weekend - enough said! 
4. Very, very cold this week - have spent every evening bundled up on the couch under a blanket. 
5. Need a haircut in the worst way but won't be able to afford it until next month so it's headband city until then to keep it under control.

1. It's currently -12ºF outside.
2. I'm stuck at home as DH has taken the car with the car seat to work.
3. I am going to lose it if I don't get some adult conversation soon.
4. Thinking about starting my own ice company with the hunks that have formed inside a few of our pathetically insulated windows.
5. I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a trip to Jamaica today.

1. I've totally lost the ability to keep myself warm
2. Decided against going home to see my family this weekend, and instead will be sticking around DC for the Obama concert/inauguration
3. I really hope it's not this cold on Sunday and Tuesday
4. Some of my books for this semester are being sent via Amazon and incredibly late. I'm running out of time to wait for them...
5. I think I'll reward myself for surviving classes by taking a nap.

1. FINALLY went to the Social Security office to get my name changed... after waiting a month for the mailed in application to be sent back and told to go in in person.
2. Went shopping before coming in to work and got some great deals
3. Spent the last of my paycheck on said shopping and don't get paid for another week
4. Only have to work the last half of work today but it's pretty busy
5. Drinks tonight!!

1.  Only working a half day today!
2.  Spent too much money this week on stupid things
3.  Making a potentially life-changing phone call this afternoon
4.  Meeting BF in the pub tonight
5.  Looking forward to catching up on my sleep this weekend

1.  Tomorrow is the last day of work in a string of 6 days, but I only have Sunday off.
2.  Two birthday parties this weekend--a 40th and a 50th.  I'm not sure I'll be up for both.
3.  Brought home lots of clothes from work yesterday to try on--mostly for work though.
4.  The crack in my big harp is finally being fixed this weekend--by the guy who made Kate Rusby's guitar!
5.  I'm oddly looking forward to my dentist appointment next week.

1.) I can't believe I qualified for a rather large personal loan. I thought banks weren't lending money to anyone, let along immigrants!
2.) I am really frustrated with people I work with being unreasonable and useless and un-contactable about it. These aren't people here, they're people in the states, 8 hours behind me in their working day, and they just aren't used to *thinking outside the box* and go by the book only and the email chains are ridiculous. Grrr...
3.) BF is wanting me to spend more time with his parents. I like them enough, but I don't really need to spend lots of time with them. Its not that serious of a relationship!
4.) I need to go the music store this weekend and get a folding music stand and maybe a new trombone mouthpiece (if they have the right kind) to get a better sound in my high range
5.) I've written a Friday Five book and I'm going to go now...

Just barely Friday here in the States, but here goes...

1. I have to give a monologue in my acting class today and I'm nervous.
2. I got called back for one of the shows at Uni, and I'm so thrilled. 
3. I'm kicking butt at said call back tonight.
4. Party for a friend that just moved back from London tonight.
5. Hopefully my new apartment will be ready tonight.

1. My horoscope said today would be brilliant, but it's been pretty dull so far.
2. DH is feeling poorly, hope we are still going out tomorrow
3. Have to do my workout tonight, but then I get all weekend to relax!
4. The sky is beautiful today, and it's pretty mild outside
5. Going to pick up our new dining table and chairs after work

1. DD slept in this morning, giving me time to myself
2. I have a Yoga class this afternoon
3. DH finishes work in 4 hours and is not on call this weekend, so its less stress!
4. The weather appears to be clearing up!
5. American meetup in Sheff tomorrow!   

1. Took today off as a lieu day.
2. Was going to go to London, but decided not to.
3. Getting a facial (much needed) this afternoon.
4. No plans this weekend but finally getting salary may change that.
5. Found out that DH's job is definitely safe, but not so sure yet about the others in his department.

1. Lots of good sales going on but no extra money at the moment.
2. DD was supposed to go to a sleepover today but sinus crud has her coughing her head off and a runny nose to boot - not sure it's going to happen tonight.
3. I'll have a cranky, whiny seven year old on my hands tonight due to #2.
4. Not looking forward to getting up at 3 am to go to my weekend job tomorrow (working at a bakery every Saturday & Sunday from 4-10:30 am). The owner said we would try it out for a few weeks to see how things go - me thinks it won't.
5. Hoping I get a little rest this weekend.

1.  I haven't felt that great this week.
2. I've lived her for 19 years and never stepped foot in the US Embassy.  This week I had to go for the second time in six months.
3. Our assistant manager retired today.
4. We bought the Harry Potter Scene-it game because I had so much fun playing Stacey's Friends game and we're saving it for tomorrow night.
5. I added a friend from my old life to Facebook this week and it was kind of weird.

1) A drunk guy bought me fruit salad in Sainsburys on my way to work this morning.
2) Worked 1/2 day today - I normally don't work Fridays.
3) Went to lunch with a new colleague & it was nice.
4) Bit of shopping in the afternoon, after work - buying my SIL a birthday pressie from Harvey Nicks - a store that I never frequent.
5) Chili on jacket potatoes tonight.
