Didn’t know that was a even thing but looked it up.....mostly happens in the states but it’s the older Prius’s ....harder to do it on the newer ones it seems... they added a bolt and it’s not as easily accessible
Good job yours is newer then.  Maybe it's not a big thing where you are (Scotland?  I forgot) but here in London it is huuuuuge.  They will even go in the Tesco car park while it's full of people and steal a few at a time.  If anyone tries to challenge, they threaten with an angle grinder.  My neighbour had hers stolen in front of her house and said it would cost 2K to replace.

Friyay!

1.  House is FINALLY moving.  We have been given the go ahead to give 4 weeks notice on the country house.

2.  Gorgeous weather this weekend. We are going to pretend to be tourists at the country house and do all the things this weekend.

3.  Easter dinner with friends Sunday

4.  Went to London Sunday and stayed the night near the embassy. Got the kids (and my) passport renewed at 7:30 in the morning. Only compliant.  Me and my daughter went to the loo when we got in.  They called our number (husband didn’t know our number). So we went from being 1 to 19.  Still only took an hour but would have been SUPERFAST if we hadn’t gone for a wee.

5.  Really considering if we do Lapland (Finland) at Christmas. Do we?

Friyay!

Short weeks are great, but work is INSANELY intense to make up for them!

1.  Work deadline had me up and working at 5:30 this morning.  Now waiting for a few people to come online for a few bits.

2.  House is moving along and looking great.  Tiling is happening and it is SO nice to see finishes!

3.  They won't wallpaper (trust me, the wallpaper is GLORIOUS and not cringe worthy) for at least 6 months with all the fresh new plaster and I'm so sad.  Real first world problems.  Sorry guys.

4.  I've been really disappointed with my son's swimming lessons since Covid.  They will NOT relax rules.  Instructors on the side of the pool with masks on.  Keep in mind there are about 8 classes going on at once.  Kids can't hear, no one in the water to help them, etc.  I have ZERO issue with covid precautions - but when it's to the detriment of the children...  time to switch.  So we put him into an intensive course this week (4 days in a row, 30 minutes each day, and started on bank holiday Monday).  INCREDIBLE.  Yesterday he jumped in and swam on his own!  He did have to be plucked up a bit after the big jump before he could start swimming but this is a massive difference.  We are ALL so proud!!!  He was quite scared of the water before Monday.  Now he dying to go more!

5.  We have booked our 10 year anniversary trip to NYC for October!  That's where we married.  Now to get serious about what we want to do!

1.) Playing in a charity wind band concert tomorrow and it's going to be epic   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

2.) Just had some chocolate pudding (from American Grocer). Yum!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

3.) Off to the US next week on holiday. Can't wait to see my family!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

4.) Making black bean burgers for dinner. Yum tastic.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

5.) Can't wait to get all the food things in the US. Yum tastic even more!   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Bank holiday weekend...again!!  ;D

1.  Last night i booked an airbnb in Liverpool so we can go to Prowsey's annual Christmas rock & roll juggernaut!  It's dog-friendly house with a small garden, so we will bring the hounds with us as it's expensive and difficult for me to find someone appropriate to look after them to my standards (for instance, Becky must sleep in a bed with a human or she won't settle... yes, I have RUINED these dogs!).

2.  End of April already?  It will soon be time for me to start hunting elderflower so i can make elderflower wine.  I plan to make an enormous batch this time, as it gets guzzled away so quickly!

3.  Getting a Chinese takeaway tonight... YAY!!

4.  No real plans for this weekend... there's a street market on in my wee town tomorrow, so i will go and check that out.

5.  Might go to Glasgow and hit Lupe Pintos for supplies to make a couple of batches of enchiladas... one to eat now and one for the freezer.  Then a 3rd batch for my friend as she's recovering from a fractured skull and doesn't feel well enough to cook.

Happy weekend, everyone!

That's all awesome!  ;D   ( Well, except for the bit about your friend's head.)

Fri....... yay?

1.  Bonkers week at work.  Still working.  Trying to log off for a long holiday weekend.  Isn't going to happen, I know.   [smiley=bigcry.gif]

2.  House is just drama, drama, drama.  I don't do drama.  But should be done in 2-3 weeks and we get to move back in.  SO MANY THINGS to sort still.  It's all rather overwhelming and I can't think about it or talk about it without having a complete and utter meltdown.

3.  There's an issue with doors.... so it's a 50/50 probability that we will be moving in.... and having PLYWOOD up for several months.  Don't get me started.  Or I'll have a meltdown.

4.  My baby boy turned 5 on Wednesday!  He has his first birthday party tomorrow (joint with twins in his class - who were born on the exact same day - to an American mother and British father!).

5.  The kittens automatic kitty box is broken and waiting for a replacement.   O0

Just writing to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 2018 Prius prime plug in I got this month.  On April 9 I put £25 in petrol in which gave me half a tank and as of today, I probably have about £19 of it left and am coming up to 700 miles I’ve put on it.  If I hadn’t gone to Costco in Edinburgh Wednesday, the gas gauge would still be close to its original £25.... and all my charging is free.  I charge at work which gets me home and back and there’s quite a few charging stations in my town.  On Thursday my charge was out, parked at the park and ride to charge while I walked across the way to Morrison’s to just get a couple of things and in the 30 minutes that took it gave me 12 more miles on my charge.... then when I went to bingo at night, I charged in town and got a full charge....LOVING IT... figure it will save me over £100 in petrol a month, which is just as well because my contract with British Gas ends this month and they are about to charge me an extra £100 a month more for my gas and electric    :o >:(    The car gives me 36 miles on the charge that doesn’t sound like much, but it works for me and I most always have some sort of charge on it....plus it’s a Toyota .... and it drives like a dream... feels like I float everywhere... ;D

Meanwhile it was £114 for my husbands car and £106 for mine this week.  ::)

But I did get 631 miles on my previous tank.  :D

FRIYAY!!!!!!!!!

1.  The end is (kind of?) in sight on the house.  We have carpet down on May 16, all our belongings returned from storage on the 17th, and we have our current place through the 20th.  Means we won't have too much of a mad dash, like we did when we moved out.

2.  SO OVER the house stuff.  I was over it 6 months before we even started.  And it'll be a LONG time until it's actually DONE (some appliances still aren't in, etc.).

3.  I have never felt so broke in all my life.

4.  Kids get their first covid jabs tonight.  Husband gets booster.  Hopefully do a fun dinner in Reading afterwards if kid 1 isn't completely traumatised.

5.  Kid 1 has been diving for a year now and she is getting SO SO SO good.  I'm so proud of her.  Love watching.  She's really graceful and light on her feet (unlike everyday life where she stomps through the house like an elephant).  She really loves it and I hope it stays that way.  I'm also really proud how she's not afraid to make friends with people around her and will just strike up a conversation with anyone.  Such a great quality to have.  She doesn't care if she walks into a room and doesn't know anyone.  She will know everyone by the time she leaves.  ;D

1.  i went to Costco last weekend, so tonight's dinner is a big ol' bag of Korean potstickers!

2.  Greyhound walk at Ayr beach on Sunday... looking forward to it!

3. Hounds had a play-date earlier this week at the run field with 2 other black greyhounds.... good thing i put their colourful harnesses on so i could tell which ones were mine from a distance!

4.  Heard a song today that I've not heard since probably 1977... any of you 'senior' members of the group remember 'Ariel' by Dean Friedman?  Love these random playlists on Spotify!

5.  so thankful it's the weekend... i had a rotten week at work. But still overjoyed that even when i have a rotten work day, at least i am at home with my babies and all my home comforts, instead of in the office!  ;D
