Speedchoice Workshop
« on: January 27, 2007, 12:57:22 PM »
I just got my full UK license in November, and now I've been hit with a speeding ticket for driving 37 in a 30! I wasn't even in a hurry that day, and don't remember speeding, but apparently was. Here's my question. As I'm concerned about accruing 6 points (if I happen to get another ticket) within the next 2 years (which would cause me to have to go through all the tests again), I am considering the other option they have offered me, which is (and you can only do this once in 3 years) to attend a Speedchoice Workshop. You still pay £60 but it saves you from getting 3 points on your license. Has anyone ever attended this? If so, how painful was it, and is this truly a better option over getting 3 points?

I haven't even heard of Speedchoice. Sorry. But, whether or not you try it, I would recommend getting some sort of speed camera detector. Those first two years of driving are really scary knowing you can only get caught twice before losing your license!

This one is very affordable and helped me a lot!
