Grrrrr....... Air France
« on: February 20, 2007, 05:31:10 PM »
I had a less than stellar experience with Air France on my last flight (London/Paris/Washington and back). Nothing super huge, just lots of little things that added up. Customer service in the US was OK but here, where I actually have to file my claim (they ruined our stroller), it's been a pain. I sent a letter/claim about a month ago. Still no reply so now I'm trying to sort it out but, gee, guess what? They have no published customer service phone numbers. Nor can you email them. The only thing you can do is write or fax.

Nice for them.

Of course I won't just roll over on this. I'm hunting down unpublished phone numbers, but thought I'd post this as a warning for any potential Air France travellers... beware, you may have problems!

They have this number listed on the airfrance.co.uk website, but i had to dig to find it.  I hate it when companies make it hard to contact them when you have a problem.  They sure make certain you can talk to someone if you want to spend money  >:(

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but thought it couldn't hurt.

Thanks! Of course it's an 0870 number!

And that number will lead you to a recording.. where you are told to email or fax your complaint!

I have a horrendous experience during Xmas break... and send my 4 pages-long claim letter about a month ago. And I have not received any reply from AF so far...

Please let me know if you hear from them!!

What were my issues?  Three of my six flights got cancelled due to "technical" reasons.. I got to my final destination  48 hours later than the original itinerary, and then a whole day later on my way back... by coach!!  amongst all many other things (including having being burned with a hot pot of coffee.. while I was sleeping!)

Good luck with your claims!

Can't stand them. The airline I work for is partnered with them and they are nothing but trouble. We avoid having to go through Paris as they handle us there and are even ruder to pass riding passengers than to full fare (and they are horrible to full fare pax).

Yeah, that number is for JetBlue which is the VIP passenger or something. I found a local number thru www.saynoto0870.com but so far it only gets me to a switchboard. I left a message but no reply yet. So, I'm going to see if I can get anywhere on the US side. If not, I'm phoning the switchboard again and will tell that poor woman that I will call every day until she gets someone to take my call. They will have no idea what has hit them, believe me.

Sorry the number didn't work, but glad you found one.  Give 'em hell!!  I absolutely hate companies that make it hard to talk to an actual person.
