Battlestar Galactica fans, so say we all!
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:17:43 PM »
Any Battlestar fans here?  Call me a geek, but I'm completely obsessed. Sky One episodes are about three months behind US airdates, but I've downloaded all the shows on iTunes so I'm completely caught up now!

I am a huge fan! My housemates know that I have the telly at 9pm on Tuesdays and they'd better not make any noise!

I haven't been too thrilled with the second half of Season 3. But the latest new episode, "A Day in the Life," was very very good.  Looks like the writers have finally found their "space legs" again.

Those of you who don't watch, give it a go. But it might be hard to get caught up.  It's not just a "Sci-Fi" show. In many ways, it's an analogy of the Bush administration and what's happening in America. The show has dealt with issues like insurgency, prisoner abuse, suicide bombers, the religious right, abortion, civil war, etc.

It's a drama that just happens to be set in space.

OH NO THEY DIDN'T!!

Did anyone see the new episode, "Maelstrom"?   I'm embarrassed to admit, I cried like a baby after watching that emotionally, heart-wrenching episode.  Just three more episodes left in Season 3.  I can't wait to see how they top this one.

Anyway, I'm dying to discuss this episode with fans, but I don't want to mention it for fear of giving away the spoilers!

I must say, this season started out quite slow compared to Season 2.  But it's definitely picked up since the holiday break.

So Say We All

Duh, I just figured it out! I was in the UK store, not the US store. Guess I'll be spending my weekend with the BG crew!  ;D

I stole the first line from the LA Times review of the show, which you must read AFTER you watch the episode.

iTunes US video downloads are the greatest thing since sliced bread!    And in case you haven't figured it out yet, you need a US credit card linked to a US address to download episodes.

I can no longer watch BG on TV even if I wanted to because I have Virgin Media, which no longer has Sky One.
