Driving theory test..study books??
« on: February 22, 2007, 07:15:14 PM »
For those who bought study aides for the driving theory test..which did you buy? There are so many out there I don't know where to start.  One I am interested is for the pc, has the theory and hazard perception test, but I don't know if its everything I'd need.

I ended up going to the library and getting my study material. The book was by AA and it was the one that had 800 questions in it. I just went over the questions. Make sure you get a up-to-date book. I was lucky to find one at my local library.

The test is pretty easy as long as you study for it.

As for the Hazard part of the test I just picked out a current CD at the library and only ran it once just to see what it would be like for the test. My suggestion on that is to be careful clicking. If you click too much you get a 0 for that clip.

A useful site is www.2pass.co.uk

Good luck

I used the practice tests on this site: http://www.theory-tests.co.uk/home/

You pay £6.99 for 30 days of unlimited access. It will generate random mock tests for you as many times as you like and I just took the tests over and over till I felt like I had seen all of the questions. If I came across a question that was really new to me, I wrote it down to review.

I bought my Hazard Perception software separately but used this one:

I passed both my first time with no problems. Good luck! :)

as Courtney said, check out the websites that offer online practice tests. I didn't find them until two days before my test so I opted for my book with loads of questions and doing the sample ones offered as a preview.

I didn't study for the HP. I should have because I didn't have a clue what I really should have been clicking. But I passed both my first shot even though I lost points for over clicking on one clip.
