He's gone. :(

I had my boyfriend over for 3 weeks from England. It went by way to fast for the likes of me. I had a van come get him today close to where I work and all I could do was sit in the car and cry after he left. And now I'm sitting here looking at my bed and not wanting to get into it because he's not there. This November will be our 5 year anniversary too and I'll be turning 22 and he will be 24. I'm really hoping to get my butt in gear though and get the fiancee visa and move there to be with him. I'm not sure how much more of this I can handle.  :\\\'( I've been so sad all day...it feels like my other half got ripped away.

all i can say is that it gets easier. sometime in the future, when you are together every day, you'll wonder how in the hell you ever managed to be apart for more than eight hours. just be strong & keep working towards getting on the same continent!

I totally agree with Niku2, that in the future when you 2 are together everyday. you will wonder how in the heck you ever managed to be apart from each other for more than 8 hours. I seriously cant imagine myself without my Dh being away from me for long time spans again.   

Awww, I know it sucks now, but it will get better.  I hope you two can be together soon!

Just keep working towards the day when you two will be together, make plans, keep busy.  The first few days after a visit always sucks the worstl.  I fell apart more than once after we'd see each other.  It does get better, just doesn't always feel like it (((hugs)))

i second the keep busy plan, get searching, look at plane ticket prices just for fun, set a timeline, search out all the forms, plan how youll save for your move, plan what you want to do when you get here, plan what kind of house decor  youd like, look online at flats or homes, you can always dream! thats what I did I was always planning and dreaming, made the time a *little* more bearable, that and the fact that I would talk to him later that day,every day. go to a shop, make a little care package for him of usa stuff. all these kinds of things made it go by a little more.

Eeeek!  I'm so sorry!  I think I can safely say we all hate that!  Really do try to keep busy, it can help!

I cried all last night and hardly slept, I miss him so much    the distance is so hard, and it feels like the time goes by so fast when we are together.

ack! I know how that is...it's the most horrible feeling. I'm sorry you're going through this...but it does get better. just keep strong.

I just got back from visiting my boyfriend on Sunday and he came to visit me in December. For me, it's harder to have him visit me because of the reminders of him everywhere and the loneliness. It's easier for me when I visit him because I come back and I miss him but little things like his scent in my bed aren't there.

It does get easier. It sounds like a great idea to plan getting the visa and ending your LDR. It has made this separation so much easier for me this time!

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I know for me too the hardest time is the first few weeks we are apart again. Time together seems to go so much faster then time apart. Hardly seems fair.  :\\\'(

It helps me a little to see all the people here on UKY that have managed to get through the long distance part and find happiness together in one space. Hope that gives you some comfort too.

Yeah it is harder for me to have him here. I don't even want to clean my room because it reminds me of him.  My kitty on the otherhand is quite glad to have his mommy back though. He's been keeping me company and curling up on my lap purring his heart out like he's doing now. He's a little green eyed monster.   

I know what you mean. My boyfriend left a glass of water on the side table and I couldn't bear to move it until all the water had evaporated. He forgot his toothbrush and it's still in the toothbrush holder. My kitty loved my boyfriend and missed him when he left!

My dad just left today after a visit and it sucks now. The house seems so empty.  :\\\'(
