Lots of positive thoughts coming your way.  I know how hard it is because that was me a year ago.  Dan and I did long distance UK to US for a year and a half and i remember after one time dropping him at Dulles, driving back to my office only to curl up on the floor in a sobbing heap.  I think my secretary thought i had cracked.

By looking at your tag, it looks like your mister will be coming over in a few months and that is fantastic!  Always try and have the next holiday planned because it makes departing just a bit easier.  I know we always had our next flights booked so it helped a bit to not have to say goodbye, but say "I'll see you on the x of x month at Heathrow"

That is so true!  We always have our next trip booked before we part.  That way we know for sure when we will see each other next.  I am feeling a bit better.  Miss him terribly as always, but, just pushing through until July when I get him for a whole month!

Glad you're feeling a little better. July will be here in no time!

Hi there,
I just got back as well - last Thursday actually - and I think I'm still a bit numb. H2B and I have been back-and-forthing for 8 years now and I know exactly how you feel. I'm just sending {{hugs}} because this bit is never fun. However, it looks like you're going to be together really soon and it's always great to have something to look forward to! Try and stay busy and you'll be amazed at how quickly time can fly!

Ah, crying in the airport - how well I know that!  Once we were married, I thought I saw the end of that, but now it's just as bad whenever I leave my parents!  :\\\'(

But the times when you are together mean that much more.  Good luck.

Add me to the list of knowing what it feels like.  It does get harder to say goodbye everytime.  I am fortunate, however, to get to see my DB every month.  Once month he comes to the states and one month I go to the UK.  It has worked out well this way.  I am just now starting my work permit and visa paperwork, so I have a long road ahead of me, before the distance is over.  Hopefully not longer than a year.

11/06-Met DH, while traveling on business in UK

12/21/09-Package arrived at courier
12/29/09-Apps submitted to LA Consulate
12/30/09-Visas in my hand!

I always found it hardest when my husband was leaving me, because travelling did take my mind off leaving him (a tiny bit!).

I completely understand what you are going through and it almost makes me cry thinking about it :(

If you want to talk feel free to PM me!

I am the same way! When I was leaving Chicago in Nov after a visit I couldn't stop crying!  It was horrible!

Good god my heart goes out to you, I know how you feel. I get so use to being my life over in England & then I get up rooted when I fly back to California. I miss not being there to watch my boyfriend's son grow. It gets harder & hard for me to leave him.
