Lindt
« on: March 07, 2007, 09:56:56 PM »
I've recently discovered Lindt chocolates. I am so addicted. At the moment, I have a Peanut Butter Lindor bag. It's divine! I love the PB and milk chocolate Lindor. mmmmmmmmm.

Any other Lindt addicts?

Dh likes Milk chocolate Lindt in the redbox with gold writting. whenever we have a special occasion or Dh's b/day I buy these for him. My Dh isn't a big sweet fan so he can make his chocolate last for a good long while. unlike me my chocolate is always polished off rather quickly.   ;D  :P

I love Lindt chocolate!! I can't do Hershey anymore, I love how Lindt is just so creamy and melts in your mouth. I went to a Lindt outlet in New Hampshire last summer and got over $100 worth of Lindt chocolate for $20!! I'm still working on it.  ;D

Mmmm... i love Lindt!
DH gets me a Lindt chocolate rabbit for Easter, instead of an egg.  Or sometimes in addition to an egg!

Add me to the list--I, too, love the milk-chocolate ones in the red box...although, I have discovered, the box of mixed ones is really good, too.  ;) The white chocolate ones in that are to die for... :P

The company I work for has just gone into a joint venture with Lindt so our shop sells a ton of it!  It's so dangerous having it there because when we all get peckish that's what we go for!  ugh!  It doesn't help that we get 30% off either. But the one that that none of us can stand are the assorted chocolates in a box.   Sounds like everyone here so far likes the Lindor balls.  We do a pick and mix of Lindor balls flavours included milk, dark, white, mint, peanut butter, raspberry, coffee, and hazelnut. So if anyone visits me at work, might do them a deal!  ;)

We've had loads of the ball ones too and those are great.  I just saw some lindt "carrots" for easter.  They look like little carrots made of chocolate and are so cute.  I must get some, but don't think they'll last long enough to end up in anyone's easter basket.

I love the truffles too (I think that's what you mean by the ball ones?)  :) I like the milk chocolate and mint ones. I think everyone is catching onto my love of Lindt chocolate, my mom and boyfriend each got me some for Valentine's Day and my boyfriend's mom gave me one of the Easter bunnies when I was there in February as an early Easter present.  :) I think I need a break from holidays though, I'll get fat eating all the chocolate I have!  :o

The little balls are actually called Lindors.  You know what's funny?  If you check your packaging on some of the Lindor ball bags they are actually made and imported from the states. Particularly the peanut butter, raspberry, and mint ones.  Most of the other stuff is made in Europe.  I went to a Lindt meeting our company had with them and did you know that Lindt actually owns Ghirardelli in the states?  I was the only one at the meeting who had actually heard of Ghirardelli!  lol  They were able to show us a lot of their product range for the upcoming seasons.  Some of it is sooo cute.  Over time they only want to try and really sell i more "upmarket" stores. i.e. Harrods, Selfridges, House of Fraser, Whittards. They want to keep their brand name with an upmarket feel in the chocolate industry. You can find a few bits in local supermarkets.  As far as I know Whittard is the only one that offers a bulk buy on the children's easter range which includes the chocolate carrots, ladybugs, bag of milk balls, and a few other bits for 3 for £6.  Otherwise I think most other places sell them for £2.49 each.  When Dh and I were in Paris we found a cute little box shaped like the Eiffel Tower full of Lindor balls so we had to get that!!

I've never tried Ghiradelli before...

I knew that the balls were also called Lindors, I thought it was Lindor Truffles...I have always been confused by that! I never could understand why sometimes their chocolate is called Lindt and sometimes Lindor.  :-[  ???

I get my Lindor at Whittards, I love their bulk offers. It's always so temping when I go in. I had no idea they owned Ghirardelli! Very cool fact though, I love fun facts like this. Do you work for Lindt? I would love to work for them.

This fascinates me since you can buy Lindt in the US at places like Rite-Aid.  :-\\\\
