Continental Europe Tours
« on: March 17, 2007, 07:11:19 PM »
Can anyone recommend good tour groups for visiting continental Europe?  My in-laws are apprehensive about traveling on their own and are looking to visit with a tour group...the type that takes care of all accomodations and transportation. I've heard good things about Rick Steves' tours, any other recommendations?  Thanks!

Wallace Arnold does a good one.

As well as some of the major tour operators. But I would go with Wallace they have new executive busses and everyone usually comes back and tells me they were well organised!

Thanks MeShell, that looks like a really good possibility.  While I was searching for the in-laws I came across a tour called Budget Expeditions which sounds perfect for my husband and I.  The tours are really affordable because you stay at campsites as opposed to hotels.  Has anyone heard anything about Budget Expeditions?

I know people who are fond of this company:

But my friends tend to do the 'Beyond' tours -- which are probably a bit on the wilder side of things than you're looking for. :)

Riviera Travel are good - they advertise in The Guardian, the Telegraph etc.
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing
