Going home to San Antonio in July with DF so he can meet my parents (first time home in 3 years).  Doing some rockclimbing in the area and showing him where I grew up.  But, I get DF for a whole month!  Yay!  So, that is the best part of my summer!

Going to Egypt for two weeks in Summer as well as Ireland twice (June for Hen weekend, August for the wedding of friends).

I'm angling to get in a long weekend in Paris or Brugge but Dan thinks i'm insane for wanting to take more holiday time!

Definitely traveling at least once across the Atlantic!  Hopefully one-way.

I'm going to try to make a Hen Weekend to Barcelona in July also, it all depends if I'm in the UK already.

We are going to Chicago during the first week of May, then again for DH's graduation (unless something horrible happens and he doesn't finish).  I am going to Charlottesville VA for work-related sort of business at the end of June for a week.  Then India in September.  That's the main thing I'm saving holiday time - 3 week trip.   Hmm I think that's it for now!

I actually wish I could go somewhere now. Preferably somewhere warm! But once it's summertime, there's nowhere I'd rather be than here, near a beach.  ;D

Not sure when but we will be heading to NY for at least a month, maybe longer.  Spending sometime travelling.  Boston, Chicago, DC and maybe Montreal are all on the list.

My summer plans are to move back to the States in July. Right now I am trying to gather all the information to start the process. My main concern is taking our dog back with us. The airline won't fly animals if the temp is 85 degrees or above at your destination stop. I have been checking out flight times to see when the best time would be. It is all just a big gamble. If you get to the airport and your destination is 85 or higher, you are not allowed to take the dog.

does May count as summer?  :)

If you count March and April as summer too!!  ;) Over the next four weekends I will be in Belgium, West Country/Wales-way, Normandy, and Northern England. Then a weekend in Sweden.

Since I moved to Europe, I left summer travels to students, people restricted to summer holidays because of children and people who like hot weather destinations. I was in Ireland last summer and it was cool and wet! I ran into lots of American tourists too.

end of May-June I will be in California, July a couple days for my birthday somewhere, a couple days in August for the Verona Opera Festival, India in September, California in December and before I know it it is 2008. My how time flies when you are having fun.  ;)

Though it wasn't even technically spring yet,  ;) I just got back from a trip to the US.  My wonderful husband took time off work to stay here with our kids so I could go back alone for a totally indulgent long weekend of visiting friends and family, shopping, and eating.

Of course, now I'm home alone with the kids while he's off on a 10 day business trip/vacation of his own.   ::)

We're going to Prague/Vienna/Budapest during Easter break.  We haven't planned it all out so I'm not sure what our route and exact stops will be.

We're going to Stockholm for a weekend in April, tagging along on DH business trip.

We're thinking of going to Greece in May.  Definitely taking the kids to the US in August and hopefully we'll still have time for another holiday once we get back here (before school starts).

Chicago?!  If you're there for a few days you HAVE to let me know... it's only a 2.5 hour drive for me!! :D

As usual, we have absolutely no plans.  Lots of ideas, but no firm plans. ::)  Good friends of ours in Germany are already hounding us to visit during Oktoberfest (they're just outside of Munich).  Does September count as summer?

We're off to Italy next week - as long as I can get my passport sorted!!!!

Other than that, DH is knuckling down with the PhD so I'm expecting we will just do day trips around Exeter. That said, a long weekend at the in-laws is long overdue so if we can swing it, summer in the Lake District is luverly!

I'd like to go to the US for a week or 2 in Sept or Oct but doubt it'll happen. Other than that, we're just hoping we might have a couple visitors.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Technically summer ends in late September, so it counts to me!

I'm going to England at the end of June for about two weeks to bring DB over, then we're heading up to my grandfather's cottage in New Hampshire for a week. I want to take him to see a few other things around here too but it depends on how much money we have. I'm going to try to pack in a lot of trips while DB is here to show him the States!
