I am going to Paris for ten days in May. The day after I get back, my best friend and I are driving from Tennessee to L.A. We're going to go slow and take about five weeks to get there and stop and see tons of stuff along the way.  :D

Whilst there David and I are going to San Antonio for a few days.

MeShell, if you need some tips on what to do in San Antonio, PM me.  I grew up there and it is a lovely place and can be quite romantic too (since it is just you and David going  ;))

I'm going to hopefully (if planning permission and builders co-operate) escape the construction site which will be my house.  We are adding a 2 story addition and I don't want to be here when it happens.  I'm off to southeastern Mass for 3 months this summer, or longer if need be!  YIPPIE!!

We might go to Florida again in September (all the theme parks are quiet then), but it's not a for sure plan yet. We'll probably go camping in Wales for a week in July. And when I get my driver's license here (hopefully by summer) we're going to start doing day trips and taking the bikes places. Definitely going to the Lake District for a few day trips and hikes.

I am moving home to the states on June 11th!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  But only to have the baby and then we're moving on up to Canada for our next overseas assignment.  so, no big plans for the summer except to take it easy and enjoy the time off with my family.

We're (if I get a job) going to Denmark in June for a wedding. Maybe the states, maybe not. I don't have plans, only thoughts.

Sorry I am late getting to this thread! :)

Looking at a work-related trip to Leeds in June.... trying to make it a long weekend, if poss... Carolyn?!  ;)

Yes, let's talk! :)

Our plans:

1)  Peak District in April  (long weekend)

2)  Fingers crossed (cuz the plan still has to come together), a week in May split between Paris & Madrid - and visiting/staying with my friend in Madrid!!  We plan to 'go greener' and take the train to London, chunnel over to Paris, then a sleeper train to Madrid.  Hopefully, during our visit in Madrid, plans will begin to take shape for a future trip (in a year or two) back to Rio!!!  <<Screams in delight>> ;D

3)  Walking the Dales Way in June.  Hopefully, I will not be confined to a wheelchair following this exercise. :P [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

The US will have to wait until the autumn.  Hopefully, we will be able to squeeze in a week somewhere else, in the autumn.

1. Easter:  weekend walking in Swaledale

2. May:visit to Cornwall to see our son, followed by a week in the Peloponnese - nothing booked but a flight, but retracing our footsteps from 1980.

3. July: a week walking in the Lake District.

Just saw this thread and I'm soooooo excited!

Next friday we leave for a Mediterranean cruise.  First ever and defo is the starting point for our exploration of Europe.

Summer will involve weekend trips to Lake District, Scottish Highlands, and Ireland ... keeps fingers crossed.

Planning on getting all that in despite starting new and very challenging job :o
I have already processed that humor..

Only Summer plans I have are FINALLY having my ex-roommate from LA
COMING TO VISIT ME!!!
So far we've not planned a lot, but since I'm now starting a new job, I won't be able to take any weekdays off, but we've got tickets for Equus, AND, the main reason I tempted her to finally come see me:  LORD OF THE RINGS - THE MUSICAL  ;D

I can't take weekdays off while she's here because I have to save them for October, when I go (back) to AFRICA!!!  ;D ;D ;D  (okay, not 'summer', but had to say!)
Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!
