Was that you yesterday?
« on: February 25, 2004, 06:06:22 PM »
Okay, whilst sitting at Passport Control waiting for the Immigration Officer to bring me my passport back at Heathrow yesterday, another American came through the line next to me and I overheard her say that she had residency through a work permit.

Was it someone from here?  She was young and blonde with a great (and I'm jealous) figure, wearing a pretty neat leather jacket.

That's certainly me out. Especially since I was no where near Heathrow.  ;)

I do wonder the same thing sometimes at work. I've spoken to a few clients on the phone that are American but I don't want to be a dork and ask if they are on here (especially since it's not really work related  ;) ). Anyone going through litigation for a road traffic accident?  :P

Many of the gals I work with in the Jr. League of London are here on work permits.  Several on my committee travel a lot for their work, and one is young, blonde, and has a knockout figure!  It may have been her, as she wasn't at our event yesterday due to work.  Who knows?

She mentioned she'd been out of the UK for 2 weeks, and she was coming in on the same flight I was, Virgin from Miami Int'l.

After she left, then an American couple from Chicago came up and said they were here to visit their daughter who is a student in the UK.  Were these anybody here's parents?!  (Forgive the grammar!)

Wouldn't it be fun if it was someone from these boards!  That's so cool.  LOL  Peedal sounds like you had some fun.  Bet it kept you wondering for a while.
