I've never seen it, but the adverts look really cool. Give me the quick version of what I've missed if I start watching it?

OMG, that was FAB!

The first one is in two-parts.

It's basically a series about a Scottish psychology lecturer and his two researchers, going on adventures into the paranormal as skeptics.

Saw last season. Loved it. Missed tonights as staying with friends who don't have a TV!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

EIS, I hate to say it, but from what I read in the RT, it appears this 2-parter is a one-off, rather than the start of a new season.  Count me as disappointed, too, if that's the case.

But I agree, last night's first part was excellent and we're looking forward to the conclusion tomorrow night!

The BBC keeps advertising it as a 'New Series'.  Hmmm.

The gal who plays Justine won a BAFTA for her role.  She was excellent!

In last night's episode, who was the blonde girl?  I can't remember her name, but she was in the flashback part and came to stay with the couple (and hooked up with the man).  Yeah, I'm bad with names.

Anyway, it seems like I've seen her somewhere before and IMDB isn't helping me.
had a bit of a wobble.

The character, was she called Mary?  Because that part is played by Christine Bottomley.

No, I thought Mary was the wife who died of consumption.  Maybe?

The young woman, who also played Cassie in the first series of 'Hex', is Rebecca, Graves-Hennings/Robert Dunbar's wife's sister.

Alisha and Mary play the consumptive wife and the voodoo priestess.

Thanks so much!!!!!!  Her name is Christina Cole and I recognized her as Ms. Ingram from Jane Eyre and more recently from Doctor Who.

Can't tell you how much it's been bugging me!

Well, did you see the conclusion last night?
We thought it was excellent! (though there were plenty of moments when I wished I could dive behind the sofa, LOL)  It was one of the best Sea of Souls eps they've ever done, IMO.

That's what I love about Sea of Souls, it's eerie and creepy rather than scary.

Damn, that was good!
