Ooh, you mentioned your boyfriend without serious hassle? That's good to know.

I'm starting to think my boyfriend and I have been really lucky, he got questioned at POE when coming over to see me last year (we hadn't met at this point) and answered that he was on holiday (well, he was!) and asked very minor quesions about when he was starting university again etc and when he planned to return to the states.
When I came through at Dallas, being a bit more naieve (!) I said I was seeing my boyfriend, and they questioned me about the numerous American stamps in my passport (about 4 in the last 8 months because I had a NYC obsession and delta were doing a £160 return flight so I kept going back!) and I just told the truth, mad shopping trips with various friends, i was asked if I was employed and if it was a "good job?" and did I "make a lot of money?" (to which I just laughed) , the guy was also very interested in the UAE and far east stamps in my passport, (I'm half balinese). I was let through in about 10 minutes, later on after I collected my baggage, a security officer was making small talk with me whilst I queued (i.e chatting me up) and when I mentioned the boyfriend asked "going to marry him?" quite casually (the reply - "god no!Too young!")
Really we've always told the truth about our reasons and had no issue, my own opinion is that the fact that I make lots of trips and never overstay my alloted time is actually a positive thing.
