i agree that  it is really anger toward the mother and maybe that they  have  a better relationship  and he is made  to feel crappy about it...

We all lose our patience with our kids at one point or another but this guy just went on and on and on and on. Totaly ridiculous. He deserves what he gets.

He did seem to go on and on, I'll give you that... but I don't necessarily think "he deserves what he gets". He lost his temper but he may have been justified. There's really no way for any of us to know.
