Stay at our house!  (We have room for a few folk.)

Just found out he's going to be at the Hay Festival this year too! Busy man!

I saw him play in Orlando and in Tampa, and then again in Tampa (that time with a bunch of other musicians too) -- but that was before I moved to England. :) [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

His tour schedule for 2007:

Looks like some of those are him speaking about his book, but you never know what he might do.  Steve had him sign me the Must I Paint You A Picture? The Essential Billy Bragg when Billy was at the Leeds' Borders once.

Ah, I suspected he might be speaking at Hay, rather than performing. Although, as you say, you never know what might happen.

Yeah, I like Billy Bragg. Seen him a couple times in the past. The Mick Jones/Topper Headon backing band is interesting too.

I've heard that no members of the Clash will be there... not sure why they haven't changed the info.

Billy Bragg on his own is fine for me.  Last saw him at the Vancouver Folk Festival... don't remember the year.  92?  93?

Anyways, if anyone wants to see the show and needs a place to crash, send me a pm.

That's interesting about Mick Jones etc.  I saw Billy Bragg live once, ages ago, good gig but was put off a bit by him slagging off the Clash, mid set, for letting one of their songs be used in a TV commercial.

When I saw him, he was just slagging off Bush & the Florida election fiasco! ;D  This was pre-election, oh - must have been the one that re-elected Bush. :(

Then I saw him (he played alongside Steve Earle, that guy from REM, and I forget who all else) on the Tell Us The Truth' U.S. tour (media reform & NAFTA - FTAA stuff). :)

He's not really one for keeping his thoughts to himself, is he?  ;)

Oh, that must have been good! Steve Earle, Billy Bragg and Michael Stipe!!! Woohoo! (if that's who you meant by 'that guy from REM'.)

I think it was Mike Mills from REM.  Here's an album from that tour:

Boots Riley was great fun on that show too! :)
