They do have Saturday hours, it just sucks because the pick up place is literally an hour's drive by freeway from where I live. I'm going to call to see if I can have the drop off address changed to my office. I don't really know what else to do.

Well in a way it's good news right?

That's what I was thinking!  You've successfully made it through the UK government's trials, so the next step is dealing with the delivery company. ;)  Just think of it like a video game.

Congrats!!

You're scaring me! Does that mean they've denied me?!  :-\\\\ Or is the finger crossing for the delivery itself?

My loan is for both tuition and all estimated living expenses as calculated by my study abroad program. I only sent the letter stating that my stuff was prepaid, etc. The only financial items I sent where 6 months of pay stubs to prove my employment history.

I called fedex first thing when I woke up (which was about 15 minutes ago), and they can't deliver it to an alternate address because the package is restricted. So I asked the lady if it was on a truck yet and she said no, so I asked if they could hold it at the facility and I could pick it up this morning. She said she could do that, so I just have to wait for a call to show that they've got it available for me to pick up. That facility isn't open until 8am though, so I have to wait a little bit to find out.

I'll let everyone know as soon as I find out.

Eh... there may be a good possibility that I've been denied. I didn't receive an approval by email before the shipment. I'll be sure to give a heads up once the package is in my hands.

Honestly, I don't think it's all that likely that you will have been denied a student visa. I've just read an online article about how the UK is trying to encourage more international students to study here and therefore UK student visas are easier to get than they used to be. Apparently, the UK is now the easiest country to study in, in terms of getting visas.

Unless they think you are going to abuse your visa rights or are a threat to the country, I doubt they'll reject your application.

A couple of years ago, we had an entire class of English students from Kenyon College come to study at Exeter University for a year - there are about 30 of them plus 2 Kenyon professors and they didn't seem to have any trouble getting visas at all.

Well I did include a letter from my employer that clearly states that I am expected to return once my program is over. Hopefully all will turn out well.

The fedex facility opens in about 5-10 minutes... so I'm anxiously awaiting a call saying they have my package available for pick up.
