Good lord, I'm not sure I can think of 10 'cause some things I missed are now carried here (like Nestle chocolate chips - the ONLY time you will ever catch me prefering American chocolate! Brianna's poppy seed salad dressing, and tinned black beans)....

- Krusteaz fat free buttermilk pancake mix
- Annie's mac & cheese
- Peets coffee
- Gayle's bakery francessi sandwich rolls (small deli in Capitola, California)
- An independently made Moroccan spice mix that I'm fond of - can't recall the brand
- Ranch dressing mix
- Vlasic pickles

That's honestly all I can think of - it took me nearly an hour to come up with that list!

I'd have 10 tins of Starkist white albacore tuna. That's the only thing I miss at all, so I'm multiplying it by 10!  ;D

kraft mac & cheese. none of those foo-foo swanky kinds, just the good ole neon orange powder kind.

licorice snaps candy

cracker barrel's coffee

crunchberries cereal

chili cheese fritos

real tortilla chips...hell, any real mexican stuff

near east rice pilaf mix

dan's candy (wee tiny ickle bitty 87-year-old candy shop in downtown joliet, illinois. best. chocolate. ever. even better than cadbury's, and it damn sure takes a lot to top cadbury's in my book)

pillsbury refridgerated cinnamon rolls

morningstar frozen veggie stuff

Even though there isn't anything that I miss enough to pay the prices to actually buy online any of these items, it would be nice to find (in my area):

- Fritos
- True coffee cake(s)
- Cake icing/variety of cake mixes
- Pretzel sticks
- Cheese nips
- Honey butter
- Corn bread mix (like someone else mentioned) Yum!
- Ranch dressing (ditto above)
- Claussen pickles
- Bullseyes (candy)

-Red pepper jelly (over Philly cream cheese with crackers...yummy)
-Fried catfish, bbq pork/hash and sweet tea (ok, I know you can't get that in stores...just miss it :\\\'()

Triscuits
Stoned Wheat Thins
Spike seasoning
Vietnamese Chili garlic sauce (made in Texas..)
Hawaiian red sea salt
A case of Vendage red Zinfandel
Cheezits
Pickled herring (the stuff here is too sweet/soft)
Dill pickles
Gilroy Farms garlic salsa

Man, I obviously eat a lot of salt...

A case of Vendage red Zinfandel

Small wine-obsessive's tip: zinfandel is chemically identical to an Italian grape called primitivo. If you struggle to find zinfandel here, look in the Italian section - it's very hard to tell the difference.

Vlasic or Mezzetta dill pickles
Tostitos medium salsa
A1 sauce
Dots
Sour Juju fruits
David's sunflower seeds
Andersons pea & ham soup
Carls Jnr Western Bacon Cheeseburger
Spaghetti Factory spaghetti with burnt butter & mizithra cheese

Kraft Mac & Cheese (the orange powder kind)
Packets of Ranch Dressing mix
Cheez-its
Bitter baking Chocolate
Crisco (I bake a lot)
Macintosh Apples
Taffy (any variety - Salt Water, Laffy, Old fashioned)
BUD Light
Crystal light
Frank's Red Hot sauce

- so you know what...I had a pretty hard time thinking of 10 things.  I love these things, but even at home I wouldn't use them everyday.  There are no "everyday" foods I miss.  These are all just nice-to-haves and luckily can be easily brought home in a suitcase, well except for the Bud Light.

yeah, you know what? i have to agree with that, karin.

not a single one of these is essential and, to be prefectly honest, i am absolutely spoiled for choice when it comes to food over here. especially being veg.
