I find the cottage cheese here a bit watery, and the texture is different.  The taste is a bit different, but not too bad.

I was thinking almost the same exact thing about the cottage cheese here in the UK. I will only eat the cottage cheese here if I'm absolutely craving it other than that I don't usually eat it any other time.

I guess I like watery cottage cheese.

Tastes identical to me.

I don't really find it tastes different - although I prefer Tesco's over Sainsbury's - but I haven't come across small curd if you that's what you mean (If any does know of any place that carries it, let me know!)  I just miss the small containers because it was easier to take to lunch.

Is there a difference? It's always tasted exactly the same to me!

I think it's quite a large difference. I've tried a bunch of different kinds. Besides the texture being different, the taste is almost akrid. It is definitely less salty but I liked that about it. Breakstones mmm. It's not that I got one that is out of date. It's just the basic taste here. Not nice.

but they have Krispy Kreme in Tesco, bisquick pretty much everywhere, and lots and lots of unflavoured waters (still, sparkling, tonic, etc)

Krispy Kreme is NOT in Tesco. I wish it was. They have their own take on them which are OK but not the same. Nothing is.

As for the water, they have flavoured waters but all of them contain sweetners like aspartame and other strange ingredients. I just like ones that don't contain sugar or anything. I do add juice or things of the like to it sometimes but selzter is my main miss. Especially cherry.

I'm particularly fussy about dairy stuff, and I've never noticed an acrid taste to the cottage cheese here! Are you sure yours wasn't off?

My Tesco doesn't have Krispy Kremes either, but I think some of the larger shops in or near London do.

I know you're in NI, so shopping might be quite different, but they have Krispy Kreme in Tesco, bisquick pretty much everywhere

I looked for Bisquick in Birmingham at ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose.  The only place I found it was Waitrose and unfortunately it's a 2 hour bus ride away, so we only got it once and then decided we'd just make pancakes from scratch  ;D

I live in Wisbech the Tesco's here doesn't have Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Tesco's doughnuts are OK, just not the same as Krispy Kreme nothing so far has even come close.  :(  ::)

According to the Krispy Kreme website...
"Look for the Krispy Kreme In Store Bakery units located within the certain Tesco Stores."

You can enter your postcode to determine if there's one near you.

Sorry to start a Krispy Kreme rampage!  ;) I just know that one of the bosses at work brought in a box and said she got them at Tesco. She probably went to the Tesco Extra in Hounslow (West London)....

For Bisquick, try small grocers. They've even got it at the mom and pop grocery store on our high street. I admit that it is entirely possible that stores in my area stock more American products than average because you can't swing a cat without hitting an American in many parts of South Bucks....

Krispy Kreme always seems to be in England. We little people over here don't get those luxuries.

As for Bisquick, we used to have it but I have never seen it again after about 2 years ago. I really miss it.

Yeah my nearest location is about 90 miles and a cross over on the ocean away to England or Scotland. I don't like them that much
