Just wondering if anyone here has had a son diagnosed with this.  If so I have a few questions.

Thank you

Thank you to the people who have PM'd me.  Just to say I really appreciate it.

Please don't feel you have to post here about it if you don't want too.  Just a PM would be great.  Thanks all.

All I know about it is that it was a very routine procedure in the Children's hospital that i used to work in.  I know it's not routine for you and Josh,  but lots and lots of boys go through it without much difficulty.

Thank you ;D  I know.  It's something like 1 in 300 boys they say.  I'm not that nervous. (Yeah right!)  I think I'm just trying not to worry till the day.

I, too, have heard it's very common. I knew a little boy who had the surgery and did just fine.

Big hugs!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

No advice, but good thoughts. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I know how scary stuff like this is.

no matter how routine it is, it's still hard when it's your son going through it!!  Hugs Stacey!!

My friends son had this and had 2 surgeries to correct it, but both were uneventful, quick recoveries and he is a normal functioning boy.

Sorry you guys are having to go through it.

Thank you ladies.  I'm OK, really. ( :-\\\\)  I know it's minor. (His case is)  I think it will be hard when they put him under though.  I was really scared when I did two years ago.  But it was all fine.

Our Dr is world renowned (She told us herself, she is lovely)  and does these ops everyday.  It's still scary though.

We are travelling two weeks later which is the main reason I was asking.  Just wanted to make sure it was OK by then from someone who might know.

It will be at St. Georges in London.  Anyone know what it's like?  (I've heard good things)

Are you going private Stacey? I can find out about St George's for you if you want - and your doc if you want me to check her out, too. Sounds like she's top notch, though!

We are going private. I'll pm you.  I think I'm good about the Dr. but can't hurt.

Just be warned if you're going to be there when they put him out.  It isn't like he's just going to sleep.  I was shocked when DD was put under and no one prepared me for it.
