Martha Stewart & Rachael Ray Magazines
« on: May 04, 2007, 10:05:27 AM »
Does anyone get these in the UK? Apparently, I heard through the grapevine that you can go to your local newsagent and they can order these magazines for you. Does anyone do this? I am thinking of doing this with Martha Stewart as I do miss Martha and her Good Things!!!

TIA

I buy my Martha Stewart Living and O magazines from Fenwick.  No special order or anything -- they just carry lots of foreign magazines.  Dunno about Rachael Ray's stuff, though.

Oh, I wish there were somewhere around here I could get Martha Stewart's magazine! I'm not willing to pay extra postage to have it specially ordered, but I'd love to just find it somewhere! For now, I make do with her website which is pretty good.

I have seen Martha around at larger news agents, WHS Smith and Selfridges.  I haven't seen Rachel Ray yet.  But I do love her magazine and buy it whenever I am in the US.

I've seen Martha Stewart Living at our local WH Smith and Rachael Ray's magazine at the Borders in the Bullring in Birmingham.

Borders....that's right.  That's the other place I have seen them.  There is one across from the Brent Cross shopping mall in London.

We don't have a Borders and our WH Smith is teensy, but I'll have a look there anyway. Since some WH Smiths stock Living, I wonder if our little local Smith's would be able to order it. Hmmmm.....

Not a big fan of RR although her magazine is good. When I read anything that she says EVOO I want to tear it up.

As for Martha, we have two shops here that carry it and I had the one special order for me every month so I don't miss it. You can ask your shops to get it. They may want a deposit if you're in a small town but the price is £3.50 for the magazine over here which I didn't think was all that bad. I enjoy getting that every month

I've seen the Martha Stewart one at a newsagents called Fourboys (which I think is a chain). You can definitely do special orders through WH Smiths. During a period of extraordinary desperation I worked at the tiny branch on our high street and I did orders for people....

I just looked WH Smith's website to see if I could do anything that way, but Martha isn't on their list of mags.  :(

I have a cookbook of Rachel Ray's, and I get so annoyed because every darn recipe has EVOO, and also 'eyeball it' (she says this even though she gives the exact measurement ie one TBSP!) its annoying.

I'm so glad someone agrees with me. I do think her magazine is well done though. As with Martha, I find RR VERY annoying but the magazines are well laid out and useful so you can't help but look at them. But Martha and her Halloween issues, god I love those
