Well, no actually, as it's a first heat... as Stacey and Mindy will attest, it can be a bit rough-going, because it's technically a 'beginner's' competition... so some of the acts can be um, a bit... painful.
If they charged, some folks might want their money back ;)

It's the semi-finals and finals where it gets good... so fingers crossed!

Your bit about your mom was really funny. Before my mom developed Alzheimer's, she was always unwittingly critical in every phone call. She meant the best, but mothers will be mothers. They have a stranglehold on their daughters.
