Sinusitis meds
« on: May 09, 2007, 11:05:03 AM »
I have been suffering with sinusitis and dizziness for weeks now.  The dizziness comes and goes but I can't seem to get rid of it completely.  I tried a decongestant nasal spray and had a horrendous attack of vertigo.  Don't know if it was coincidental or not, but would rather not try it again to find out.  I saw on here a while ago someone (I think it might have been Expat) talking about some sort of natural medicine for sinuses, but can't seem to find it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

I have to irrigate my sinuses with a netti pot 3-4 times/day often during the spring, and I still get sinusitis and at least one infection/year.

I am currently taking a nettle tonic from Napier's that appears to be helping quite a bit.

I have also snorted tea tree oil straight, but I don't think this is a recommended practice - more for the desperate and a fellow climber/yoga/Pilates instructor told me he'd done it and it worked for him.

For me, too!

Does the tea tree oil burn?

No, because my sinuses were so packed it wasn't true.

I hate my sinuses.  They're the bane of my existence.

I was signed off for weeks in February-March because of a sinus infection that spread to both my ears and my chest.
