US Credit Card in the UK??
« on: May 09, 2007, 05:10:57 PM »
We will be moving to the UK this summer. We currently have american credit cards. We love our American Express Blue and I would love to keep using it. BUT...then we would have to pay in the bill in US dollars and they convert and add 2% to each transaction...not good!  Does anyone know if companies like AE will transfer our US card to a UK card once we have a UK address?

American Express allowed me to get a UK card immediately, but with a low credit limit.

hmm. maybe i will have to reconsider closing my amex account. It has such a high interest rate that I was going to keep my Bank of America card open and close the Amex Delta Skymiles card. But, if they'll open a UK one then perhaps I shouldn't.

So, did you transfer the US one to a UK one or do you now have 2 amex accounts open?
