Cash Point Deposits?

the self-check out thread got me thinking about this... in the US with bank of america- i never used the teller to deposit cash or cheques- i just used the ATM...

i bank with natwest here in the UK and i've never seen this option.  my natwest has a thing where you can fill out these envelopes and then put them in a slot inside the bank so that you can deposit w/o waiting in line.  nice but not perfect.

has anyone seen depositing cash points here?

My husband has a business account with Abbey, and they make him put his cheques in an envelope and deposit them in their cash machine. The cashiers won't take his money directly.
