Pre-order on iTunes

Just wondering, do the albums you pre-order from iTunes just automatically download when you turn it on the day it is released?  I'm waiting patiently for my Maroon 5 album today.

Pretty good, though not as good as the first album IMO.  But I think any Maroon 5 fan would be impressed.
