You can start the process as soon as you wnat to really.  Even if the 6 months are up so long as you keep up the terms of the PETS program you can renew the certificate and still bring them over.  We were going to have to do this, but it all worked out and we arrived within the limit (6 months from the date the blood titer was drawn).  If you know you want your dog with you then I would consider just starting the process along with the visa process.  Though if you don't get the visa approved it might be a bit of a bummer.

Really it's up to you..

I will leave the London questions to the London folks!

I can say I have found England to be pet friendly with dog water and even food at some rest areas and pubs that welcome dogs in certain areas.

You shouldn't have any trouble on public transit with your dog but it's really up to the bus driver.  I see big dogs on the tube pretty often.  Some taxis will allow you to bring your dog in the cab with you, it really  just depends on the driver.

I had a yellow lab who was basically white for 10 years.  He died in 2003 and now I have a black lab.

Good luck finding a place in London where you can keep a big dog.  I haven't looked in a while but didn't have any luck when I was in the market for a flat.  Even if your flat allows pets, remember to look for a place near green space because you'll be spending a lot of time there with your beast.  Many parks are fenced and some have areas specifically for dogs.  Even if a park doesn't have a specific area for dogs, there will be bins specifically for your dog's droppings.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

Hello....
I am new to this Pet Scheme Program.  I plan on moving to England the end of this year
My question is that I have 3 animals.  One is very young with no rabies vaccine before, and I have foolishly compromised the other two
I want to bring them with me to England, and I had them all rabies vaccinated and microchipped about one month ago, and I had them all redone for rabies a second time two weeks ago  to make sure that they all pass the titer test at once.  I plan on having their blood samples drawn for the titer test last this week
My question is, since my animals are compromised on their vaccines, would the two vaccines that they have recently had, two weeks apart, the last one being two weeks ago be enough for passing results for all ?  Again blood samples to be drawn this Friday
I do not want to over vaccinate, but it is also necessary that they all pass together with flying colors.

Any advise will be appreciated

Thanks

They should be fine to pass the titer right now.

Even if an animal may not be up to date on their rabies vaccine before, as long as you get them a booster shot and wait a couple of weeks, as you have, the antibodies will be up to the number needed to pass by the time you have given the vaccine a week or two to do its work.
