Yep, that's her. Her recipes are fab, but not exactly health-conscious sometimes.

Yeah she was making sour cream pound cake and it calls for 2 sticks of butter  :o
and 3 cups of sugar? :o
It could have been 1 cup at that point I was distracted

Oprah was gasping a bit but Paula told her "I'm your cook not your Dr." it was so funny...

Then she proceeded to make strawberry shortcake with the pound cake with vanilla ice cream and cream.........

She pretty much uses 2 sticks of butter for all her recipes, LOL. Good but oh so fattening. She reminds me of the way my grams cooked.

So...much...butter... [smiley=dizzy2.gif]  That's what I tend to think when I see her cook.

I think she had a Krispy Creme bread pudding on her show once.  She also has a recipe for a banana split salad - now that is butter free and sounds pretty good (if you could sub whipped cream for the obligatory KoolWhip).

Her food looks sooooooo good, but oh so bad!!! I make her Ooey Gooey Pumpkin Cake and it's divine. I usually make it around Thanksgiving, so since I'm eating all unhealthy anyway, I can easily forget about the box of powdered sugar and two sticks of butter than go into the pumpkin.

Sounds like the Barefoot Contessa. That woman could turn a celery stick into a heart attack, seriously!

I love Paula Dean!  I could never eat any of her meals, but she is so entertaining to watch.

My favorite quote of hers that I heard on one of her shows was "Just when you think you've added enough butter, you add a little more!"  said with that delicious Southern Accent!

I saw an episode once where her sons were on there along with her daughter in law. You could tell she wasn't super keen on her daughter in law. Paula hung on every word her sons said, but she barely gave the wife the time of day. I thought it was pretty funny. They're clearly momma's boys!!! And attractive ones at that....  ;D
