OpenIntro,

We used Continental Airlines when we shipped our dog to UK. They have a contact agent here, PBS. We asked PBS to pick up the dog at the airport and deliver it to us at our front door. Everything went smoothly, thank GOD! We're going to use them again to ship our dog back to US.

The Rabies Vaccine should be still valid (1 year time line), and all vaccinations should be up to date and the health cert should be within 1 week of travel.

Good luck..

I am so glad I found this site--things don't seem to be as they appear.  According to this page from the US embassy in the UK, pets don't need any additional vaccinations etc. to return to the US from the UK, they just need to be examined by customs upon arrival. newcomer link: http://unitedkingdom.usembassy.gov/cons_new/acs/uk/pets_to_the_us.pdf [nonactive]
Is this incorrect or out of date?  What is needed to bring our fuzzy friends back into the US?
