I was wondering how they'd keep the books in circulation in the years to come. Now I know.

And yes, I want to go too...as much as it hurts me to admit it.

Think of it this way.  When you publish your wildly popular children's book, you, too, can have a theme park!  So, more opportunities!

BTW, that is awesome that you are a children's author!  I am a closet historical fiction writer (still struggling with novel one...sigh)

You're right. I've always admired JK Rowling. The whole Harry Pottr world is amazing. It's when people like Madonna (pay someone to) write a kid's book that I feel like plucking my eyeballs out.

Historic fiction is great! The first book is the hardest, but keep plugging away. It's 10% inspiration 90% hard graft.

What?!  It's not in Britain!  I'm kinda shocked at that.  Good thing FIL's family goes to Florida for Christmas!  Think we may have to tag along when it's finished.

I'm guessing it's in the US because of the deal she made with Warner Brothers for the film rights.  The park will probably be based on the movies, not the books.

No! I'm so torn between loving and hating the idea that it makes my eyes cross. While it'd be really cool to be able to "see" and "feel" the world of HP, I honestly think it's going to flop in a few years. Especially considering that we don't know how book 7 will end the series. What if Harry dies? How will they have Harry Potter walking around if he dies in book 7?

What about Dumbledore?  Everyone will burst into tears the moment they see him!  Or Snape?  The poor guy will be pelted with novelty wands and dungbombs all day.
