So the Fairtrade ones, are they the good ones or no?
I can't taste a difference. (And I like buying fairtrade) I'll have to have a banana taste test I guess 
Stacey, interesting that you asked that because for the 1st time tonight the non curve banana's
did have a fair trade sticker (we don't usually shop at Sainsbury's so this may be the norm there) it did make me wonder where they were from?
I have seen the non curvy ones in the past but didn't see the free trade sticker prior to this evening (usually no label). That said, I would imagine that fair trade would be for the countries/areas's that I mentioned, I guess that is not the case. Not sure...very confusing.

All I know is curvy (with a label that I know) vs. non curvy and there is a distinct difference in taste.
Fungirl, you may have a point but these "not so nice" banana's were in the banana section.
What are plantains and what are they used for? (Probably a stupid question).
