Most Haunted did a live show on location at an old London Underground station. I can't remember it's name but it's no longer in use. VERY creepy stuff!

I've gone on a few 'ghostbusting' missions and got creeped out big style when we went to St. Johns mental hosp in Lincolnshire. It's a massive hosp which has been derelict for years. We went through with a crew complete with night vision cameras. I can tell you I left that place in a hurry and lit a cigarette on the way out and I haven't smoked in 15 years.

There are quite a number of disused stations on the network, e.g. York Road, Down St., Brompton Rd.   You can see a few of them here:

Me, too!  I think it stems from an early obsession with Ghostbusters II.   ;D

This is the place that currently freaks the crap out of me:

I read a story that was set there and couldn't sleep for several nights afterwards.

I don't hardly believe in that kind of stuff (I really am a skeptic) but I got chills just looking at those pictures. Super creepy!

It looks a creepy place even in daylight.

There's just something about an abandoned, derelict hospital, never mind one so infamous. *shudders*  The old piano creeps me out, too.  Like the scene in the schoolroom in Children of Men....

Here's St. Johns where we did the ghosthunt. Imagine walking through this entire place with only flashlights.  :o
I can barely look at the pics !

Exactly! I always find it creepy when something is left in that state of disuse and actual used objects remain. I don't know why, I guess it reaffirms that people used to be there and makes it feel like they still could be.

Creepy! Can you imagine if you were one of the workers that had to be there everyday removing the asbestos and old syringes? Yikes!

I saw a show on this abandoned tuberculosis hospital in Kentucky. It was very creepy!

Pebbles...I don't go anywhere with a flashlight! I hate them! Unless it is pitch black, I'd rather wander around in the dark and let my eyes adjust.

One of the rooms we went into was horrible. We all sensed women screaming and blood. We were told by the caretaker later that room was use for perfoming abortions. It was sooooo bad.
That was just one room! We went into a small 4x6 cell and it was totally dark. A night vision camera spotted orbs all around us then we all heard a smack on the floor in the middle of the room and we all felt we were pushed in the back. We all legged it out of there!

Scary!!! I'm sure I would have ran too! Someday I'll go one one of those types of tours. They really interest me, and I'm a sucker for being scared senseless. I love it.

Another really cool site that I like, though it isn't creepy really, is the Lonely Isles website. This guy travels around and takes down histories of islands in Scotland that have been abandoned or are now sparcely populated.

http://www.lonely-isles.com/

It's really interesting to read about for anyone interested in the islands.

The photos just make me feel really sad for the unfortunate & mentally ill people who were institutionalized in these places. :-\\\\
