Cost of living: Oxford vs London

Is Oxford, cheaper or about the same as London, in cost of living expenses.  Salary, housing and other amenities.

Housing would be a bit cheaper and you might spend less on transport but everything else would be much the same.

Yes, the Oxford locals concur, housing is slightly cheaper than London, depending on where you live in either city. Transport in Oxford would be much cheaper if you rode a bicycle, it's a very bike-friendly city. Salary is also slightly less than in London, concurrent with cost-of-living expenses.
