However - apparently Disney managed to get their hands on some because that's what they feed the manatees at The Living Seas at EPCOT!

Well some might say? ??? ? Although, weren't sailors in the olden days supposed to have mistaken them for mermaids?

~ If so it must have been before they discovered prescription lenses either that or the Rum was a lot stronger back then!  :o  ;D :P

Howard, I sure dont know but I am learning the difference between mature Scottish, mature English, red Leicester, and Caerphilly! Mr_Kev is very fussy about his cheese. He only likes Scottish mature and turns up his nose at any others. Heaven help us if Tesco only has Canadian or Irish mature.
I loooove Harvester and the one in Hemel has fantastic service. I actually enjoy tipping in there. You cant beat the Jacket and Cart for £4.25. They never quibble when I ask for it at dinner time, even tho its officially an Early Bird dish.
I HATE iceberg lettuce. Mr_Kev loves it so I buy that for him and a bag of Florette or Italian salad for myself. He even loves the white and yellow bits of it!! My mother refused to buy anything but iceberg when I was little and my grandma used to buy nothing but romaine and I preferred it so much better to yucky iceberg.

Howard, I sure dont know

Oh, Mrs Kev, I was being cheeky and reminding you that cheese-obsessed Americans invented the cheeseburger!!!  But I'm glad you're exploring some of our indigenous cheeses:  do try Stilton, Cheshire, Lancashire, Wensleydale, and if you can get it, Sage Derby!

I am very much on your side about Iceberg lettuces, particularly those supplied to the supermarket chains: don't seem to me to have much flavour.  Good substitutes with more taste are Cos, Webb's Wonder and Lollo Rosso (so called, I've heard, because its frilliness reminded people of the Italian film star Gina Lollobrigida's underwear!)  Don't forget other leaves you can put in salad: I'm particularly partial to watercress myself.

Manatees!!!!  Along with groundhogs, they're my brothers, Broxi and Peedal!

Howard:

I could tell. See, I'm picking up on the cheekiness.
I love cheese but the fat content is a bit too high for my needs. I wait until I am at a party and they have a cheeseboard and then I experiment
I didn't know that about Lollo Rosso, I wondered about the catchy name. I love the bagged salad, with the mixture of all different leaves. Not a fan of raw spinach, tho.
How do you drive through Wales?
.....Caerphilly.....
(see I can be cheeky too)  ;D
