It's not like she escaped.

That would've been cool though.  >:D

just follow the trail of Dior receipts and crushed Valtrex! you'll find her eventually!

Let's take our wigs off in the shopi aisle and fight it out.

I'm not sure I understand the entire story but what I do understand is the judge handed down a 45 day jail sentence to her reduced to 23 days for good behaviour. Then three days after she's incarcerated the sheriff releases her.
Now she was thrown back to serve the remaining 42 days? Am I correct in thinking she now HAS to serve the entire 45 days or does good behaviour clause still apply? If not why should she be punished because the sheriff released her. It's not like she escaped. What was she supposed to do tell him "no I have to stay here it was my sentence"
Am I misunderstanding something here?

It's at the point now where Paris is a pawn of territorial pissings between the Sheriff's Dept & the LA County Courts. The Sheriffs Dept made a deal with the Hiltons and asserted their own jurisdiction (they run the jails), and the Courts are throwing their weight back at them. The Hiltons should have left well enough alone, now it's totally out of their control and Paris will be steamrolled by the politics of it.

Sucks for her, and it sucks for everyone else because at the end of the day what it is is justice being bought and sold and messed around with, not justice being applied fairly to all.

"A wax figure of Paris Hilton dressed in a black and white striped jailbird suit is on display on the red carpet at Madame Tussauds in New York."

I saw on TV that Paris called into Barbara Walters saying she wants the media to leave her alone and that she's found God and that she used to play dumb but that she's learned a lot in jail and doesn't think that's cute anymore...

Tell me about it.

And Paris doesn't exactly strike me as a fast learner, either.

The funny thing is, if she really did have this personality transplant, she'll drop from the headlines like a lead balloon within weeks of leaving prison.  I'm not holding my breath though.

You know, there's been a number of people that know her fairly well who have over the years said here and there that she's quite different from how she is presented in the media (I'm thinking of a Vincent Gallo quote from a while back, and another musician's comments but I can't remember who, and a couple others from people not in her customary public circle). I guess the reason I've remembered that is because of how odd it was, especially the people saying it, and that they had a fondness for her.

So because of this, I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. It smacks of PR management, but there's a ring of truth to it (the line about being 26 and too old to play dumb). Time will tell, but I think she just might be geniune(ish).

This might be her rock bottom, you know.

(And my goodness, I never thought I'd see the day I'd give Paris Hilton the benefit of the doubt over Michael Moore!)
