Aargh! I had the dogs microchipped, vaxed, titer tested, etc in 2003 when the program began and they've been getting yearly booster shots before the necessary dates since then.
I was getting the forms ready to mail off to the USDA (again -- i have many certificates done through the years but haven't been able to move until now) and checking off things against a DEFRA checklist and I realized that although the microchip number was recorded on the initial rabies vax record it hasn't been recorded on the booster shot records. Aargh. They checked it each time but didn't write it on the record. The record is a printout that gets spit out to send to the local authority so it just prints out basically. I've now written the number on each record and all I can think to do is go back to the vet and have them sign and stamp regarding the validity of the microchip number.
Please reassure me that this will be fine! I don't want to ask the USDA lady today (maybe tomorrow), because she didn't seem in a good mood when I was checking that I had all my forms earlier today.
They've never flagged this before when I've gotten certificates done. I have the originals of certificates granted in years past but never used.
Thoughts?
