S'Mores in UK
« on: June 06, 2007, 09:12:31 PM »
The school where I work is planning a week long camping trip in July. I thought it would be nice to have the boys make s'mores on the fourth of July (it's an all boy school I am not being biased against girls ;-) ).

So now to my question...since graham crackers aren't readily available...what do you all think would be the best substitute???

Thanks for your ideas!!

Someone has suggested digestive biscuits before (QG).  Even better, her suggestion that you get the chocolate digestive biscuits & then all you need are the marshmallows.

There's also some kind of wholemeal biscuit, I think by Hovis, that was kind of sweet-ish and not too far off.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

I was thinking maybe digestive (maybe I had read it before :-) ) but the texture just doesn't seem right....but I guess I have to accept there is no exact substitute!
