I-130 approved! One step closer to going home!

Today I received the letter from the USCIS London office saying my I-130, Petition of Alien Relative has been approved!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!  Matt should have his visa in a month or so.  It looks like we'll be home in August as planned!  So excited!

Wow June a big congrats!!! When did you file? We are a bit behind you....I received notification on 27th April that they received it.

Just today I sent off the DS-201 and Checklist to the Embassy. I know that Sarah from DIA said there was an issue with handoff a few months ago but I couldn't wait (eager to get things moving). I figure that when we receive the I-130 approval, I will send a letter to the Embassy with a copy of the approval to hopefully kick start the end of the process (it may be ok now but figure I will do it for piece of mind).

I sent my application on March 27th and they filed it on April 2nd so it took just over 2 months.  I wasn't expecting this for another month to be honest but looking at their website updates, it looks like they have been moving pretty fast lately.  Are we there yet?

I just checked the site (it hasn't changed all week)....still says:

As of June 1, 2007, we are processing petitions filed on March 21, 2007.  So given your dates...maybe they are nearing "mid April" applications. Of course, that depends on how many there are.
