Sarah Jessica Parker: 'Sex' movie is on

Sarah Jessica Parker has indicated that a Sex and the City movie is going ahead.

A Sex film had been scheduled for production when the hit HBO show ended back in 2004. However, that original deal fell through, a problem that was attributed to Kim Cattrall reportedly having a dispute with Parker over differing pay.

Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, Parker said: "This is a very complicated puzzle to put back - not for the reason that people speculate about because as far as I know all of the actresses want to be together again for this movie."

She added: "Somehow in my brain I think the timing is fortuitous because if we had done it years ago... we couldn't have done it now... I'm hopeful and very excited about it."

That'd be so cool if they did it. I just remember reading about all the supposed feuding that killed it in the first place.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, to be honest. Part of me is like, "Wheeee!" But then I think that it ended quite nicely, so do we really have to dig it all up again? And aren't they all getting a little old for this? I don't know. I'll have to ponder a bit more.

My poor husband, any time he thinks he has news to share with me, he finds out that I already know it because of this forum.  An example:he just sent me an email about the movie, and I had to send him back an email showing him this thread.

I really hope they do it!  I am a HUGE SATC fan and I would love to see what Carrie's life with Big is like.  Besides, think of all the hot shoes!

I agree with you.  It was  a little too pat.  I'm not sure how I feel about a movie.  We've all kind of grown up - including them, I hope!

Besides, the whole point of the series (or so I foolishly thought) was about being single and finding oneself, and having good friends, and not relying on a man to be 'happy' (or having to have one in order to).
