Would you dare? Cucumber Soda!

Cucumber soda was pretty easy to get where I used to live in Brooklyn. I never though of it as a "speciality drink". I guess the brand that was sold was Dr. Brown's?

ETA: Maybe I'm confused and it was celery soda after all? Either way, I don't find cucumber soda to be strange.

Dh & I don't think either of us would be willing to try either soda but to to each there own.

I had this when I was in Japan for work.
It tasted.... "fresh."  It's not made of cucumbers.
It felt like carbonated rain water to me.  It wasn't great but then again, it was 100 times better than that blue pepsi.
Soda is not really as popular as it is in the States.  Most people get a bottle of ice cold green tea instead.
The only time I drink soda is in Japan.  They have melon flavored cream soda.  Mmmm

It's called Cel-Ray and is my husband's favorite soda.  Seriously.



Cucumber, on the other hand, sounds yummy.

Dr Brown's Cel-Ray soda is a NY Kosher Deli classic. All the Dr Brown's sodas are.
I am not a fan of Cel-Ray but its definitely a classic. Reminds me of my childhood and I am sure it reminds my parents of their childhoods even more 

I know I've said it before on this forum (maybe even this thread!) but I LOVE Cel-Ray soda.  So refreshing.
