Do they go by business days or no?  And, do they go by from the day they sent you the confirmation of the receipt of payment?  I'm trying to figure out where we are in the process.

They go by the day they received your application and payment. You will receive a letter back confirming that they received it....then its 40 days from the date of the letter.

I think its silly that they wait until the 36th day to send it. I can understand them wanting to give a buffer regarding the process but why not send it when its complete....meaning a straight forward/no criminal history kind of check. 

Anyway, that is the deal so no worries about receiving it unless it goes beyond that time frame. Keep copies of everything just in case.
