Fluff...
« on: July 01, 2007, 01:28:29 PM »
I finally came across a jar of Fluff yesterday, so of course had to buy it to discover this thing that has been so raved about by all my East Coast friends.
And I now realize:

Fluff=Marshmallow Creme (as it's called on the West Coast)

Silly wabbit.   ::)
Thinking they were two totally different products!
Exactly the same.
So there ya go.

Good thing I love marshmallow... and all (okay, most) things involving sugar and eggwhites.

Now to try my first Fluffernutter sandwich.

(still never had one of those!)

I dont eat bread, so dont bother with the sandwich bit... i just sit with a jar of fluff and a jar of peanut butter, and one spoon... taking spoonfuls of each, mixing it in my mouth!  ;)

Yay for the fluffernutter!!! I hope you had it on white bread. Wheat bread is just too, well, HEALTHY, for the fluffernutter! You wouldn't want to ruin it.  ;)

Yeah, about that...
Funny you just posted that as I took my first bite... onto wholegrain, cuz that's all I have.
Still good but... I see what you mean.

Though this is not to be a habit anyway.  Or my mother will kill me. ;)

Oooh! They didn't have Fluff in TN when I lived there and I missed it. They make Fluff in other flavours too, like raspberry and strawberry too. I think I'm a Fluff purist though, I have no desire to try the others!

Fluffenutters are the best comfort food! Talk about stick to the roof of your mouth goodness!!  ;D

;) I just figured that out for myself last year... and the multiple flavors I saw at Selfridges did nothing for me.

my jar/can/tub is in my latest care package... love it in hot cocca, sandwiches, smothered over apples (defeats the healthiness of the apple). enjoy!

Yeah, I can't quite grasp the idea of it being flavoured...
In any case, it's wayyyy too much of a guilty pleasure to partake in often!

I used to get the Marshmallow Creme and eat spoonfuls with (can't believe I'm admitting this) ... chocolate frosting or Nutella. ... when it was starting to dawn on me that my marriage was falling apart.
So yeah, can't really enjoy it as a 'snack' ;)

Perhaps when making fudge though...

Umm, yeah, no thanks.  Not for me :)
It's sooooooooo rich!
I personally think 'Fluff' is a misnomer.

Sorry, it's a treat we always did at a summer camp I worked at. It especially tastes delicious if you let the graham crackers get soggy! Send me a PM with info if you want me to mail you some graham crackers though.  ;)
