30-40 minutes by bus (only about 10 miles to work.. but the bus goes a round-about sort of way).  A monthly bus pass costs me £32... and I get to read a book a week! :)

If traffic is good, just under an hour. If not, just over. That's getting thru Exeter city centre traffic (going out) and up the motorway to an office park just off the motorway in Taunton. But, I only do it once a week (up on a Thursday and back on a Friday - I stay with a friend overnight near my office).
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I usually take the bus in and walk home, and it's about half an hour, give or take 10 minutes, either way. The bus is £1 per trip using a top-up card. I refuse to calculate what I'm going to end up spending on shoes...  ;)

So much better than when I lived in the US!!!  There my commute might be anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours (or more) sitting in gridlock traffic to go a distance of less than 25 miles!
Been there, done that! That's exactly why I now live within walking distance of work.

Completely depends on the time of day. If there is no traffic, I can get there in 8-10 minutes. Normal traffic is closer to 20. I have had at least 2 occasions where it was well over an hour.  :\\\'(

Edited to add: I live 2.73 miles from where I work btw.  ;D

I commute against traffic going into Manchester City Centre, and I commute 13 miles each way. It can take me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I have to drop my little boy off at nursery in the morning, so that usually makes my commute about an hour.

It's roughly 30 minutes door-to-door, but I ticked the second option, since the Northern Line usually extends that a shade.

Short walk to Stockwell Tube station, Northern Line to London Bridge, off for a 5-10 minute walk (depending on where in the area I am temping).

I love it!  I absolutely hate commuting, so I love living so close to where I work.  My travelcard is £62/month on a student rate.  Unfortunately, that expires in September, so it'll be the normal £89/month after that, but I get unlimited travel anywhere in central London for that.

For me, it depends on which car I take in!

haha! If I take the Truck in I can be there in like 20 mins provided no coppers see me!
or if I take the 'quick' car then 20 mins again..

But my usual commute is a much more relaxed time, I have a Diesel Touring (estate in BMW speak!!) and bring along the doggy in the back so usually 35 - 45 mins and thats using the M25 and M1 but out of rush hour as I usually leave around 930 am.

The way home is usually nice and relaxed and clear as we leave around 8pm and so the rush is usually always gone, so can be home in around 30 mins.

Distance is 26 miles door to door..

Cheers! DtM! West London & Slough UK!

Ten minutes walking door to door, and the same-ish for my husband. Neither of us drive. It helps that our Island is only about 30 miles long, though!

20 min on foot. 25 min if the River Ouse is flooded. (I normally walk along the bank of the river.)

Last place I consulted at went from 1.25 to 1.5 hours on average each way although it did take 4 hours once when the motorway was shut.  Previous to that it's averaged about 1.5 hours.  I completely turned down a project in Birmingham city centre due to the 2 hour + train journey or 95 mile drive, I can't take it anymore so after 2 years of field consulting I'm looking to get an internal job in their office 25-35 minutes down the road!  Or else just look for a different company entirely!
Minemapper, I've had a few of those overnight weekly stays and flying up to Glasgow for a couple of weeks, I'm hoping those days are behind me now!

Petrol averaged about £35-40 every 2.5 days to fill up the tank.  Poor car racked up 20,000 miles in 9 months!  I need another vacation.
And the world first spoke to me in Sensurround

I usually leave the house at 7:20-something and arrive at work between 7:45 and 8am.  I either take a train one stop and the Jubillee line or I take the bus then Jubillee line.  On a rare occasion that the tube isn't working well, it'll take me closer to 30-45 minutes to get into work by bus.  I can walk home on nice days and it takes 45 minutes.

I pay for a zone 2-3 travel card which is about £600.
