Visa Price Rise??

When the hell did settlement visa cost go up? my wifes visa was $500 in december 2006...just applying for her daughter and nearly died!! did we miss a thread? its no $1050

visa costs went up dramatically at the beginning of April- the fee increases was announced in March, a mere 3 weeks before they went into effect.  It caused quite a stir here- most of us were pretty outraged.  In case you haven't noticed, the cost of ILR has gone up as well- it's now £750 by post and almost £1000 for same-day service :(

You should have gotten an email from UK-Y regarding this. I think it went out to everyone...unless you're new and you weren't here at the time (March 12th).
