Give lots of good hugs, take some candid photos. You know the kind, the ones where you do the self portrait with the touching faces and ridiculous grin? It'll give you something to look at and smile at when you're away. They're always an email/phone call away, but I know it's hard to be so far away. I have a friend that I'm going to see before I go to London who I haven't seen in 6 years, so I definitely feel your pain.

It was really hard for me since I don't have much family all I ever had was my friends. One of my friends drove down from DC to stay the last weekend in the US with me and help me get packed up. Before she left I was helping her load up her car with all my electric appliances I wouldn't be needing anymore and at that moment it hit me like a ton of bricks! I was hysterical but what really helps is instant messenger programs like MSN and Yahoo. We can still talk and use our webcams. In fact we can actually 'see' each other more now then when I lived in the USA.
