Ceremony Application Fee
« on: March 12, 2004, 11:47:24 PM »
I was just surfing about the Home Office site regarding the fees for applying for naturalisation (so I can begin saving now!) and looked at the site they direct you to on the citizenship ceremonies.  According to the FAQ, there is no extra fee required for the ceremony.  It's included in the original application fee.  They say if you want an individual ceremony though that you will be charged for it.

See here: http://www.uknationality.gov.uk/british_citizenship/english/miscellaneous/faq_s.html?

That's good news then! Thanks for that.  :D

I'm not so special that I need an individual ceremony.  ::)

Although it would be nice if lunch was included as well for that price!  :o I, too, need to start saving.

If you look at that site and the "what happens at a ceremony" thing, they say there may be light refreshments.  I guess it depends on your local authority who do the ceremony.
