I just downloaded the pilot from iTunes for free... and now I'm hooked.

How many episodes have aired thus far in the U.S.?  The pilot is all that's listed in the iTunes store right now.

Anyway... as FunGirl mentioned in the other thread that started this, it is very High Fidelity and fascinating to see him go back and confront his mistakes...

Seems like a very typical LA guy to me, in good and bad ways.
His friend Johnny B. has got to go though.  I still can't believe people like that actually exist.

Oooooo, I just got a deja vu!

I saw an episode of this while in the US and I was intrigued. The one I saw he was signing autographs with Erin ? (you know, Joanie). Anyway, his friend Johnny B. came in and drug him away from the signing. He was a total ass! He started accusing 'Joanie' of having an attitude! Except for that guy, I thought it was an interesting show. The next episode was going to be him confronting ex-girlfriends. It seems he's incapable of not cheating on his girlfriends. What a downer, he's such a hottie!

That's the pilot.  And yes, Johnny B. is... wow.  Just really sad (Entourage or The Game {the book}, anyone?).  He's nothing unless he's with Scott.

Re the autograph session:  too bad Scott didn't have the b*lls to tell him to p*ss off and he was actually semi-enjoying himself, but he's got a lot to work on.  At least he showed up.

I think it's all very interesting, and he at least gets credit for willingness to face up to things; though I (always) question the editing, particularly when (and if more of) the exes start describing all the things he did wrong (do we get to hear maybe what their responsibility is/was?  But that's not this show I guess).

It only began airing this week, so you're as up-to-date as the rest of us.

Yeah, Johnny B. is a piece of work.  While I understand how it can happen, I just don't get people who remain friends with jerks like that.

People with low self-esteem who need someone 'lesser' than they are to make them feel better.
LA is chock full of both those kinds of folks.

I can't wait until this is on in the UK. I think I need a serious dose of Chachi reality. I've always had a crush on him (especially in Diagnosis Murder!), but now I realise I've been grossly misled.

Well, only one episode in, but... I do believe in his heart of hearts, he's a nice guy, hence him making the efforts to figure himself out before he f*cks up his current relationship.  I don't think he's a bad guy; I think part of it is he bought into his own hype at a very young age and has never been able to shake it.

I don't think he's a bad guy either. He's just an extremely good looking guy who saw fame at a young age and lived that lifestyle. Hopefully it all works out for him and he's able to turn things around!
